This is a good warning, but CO concentration in the bed can be
alleviated by proper ventilation. "Proper" meaning don't create
a vacuum in the bed by only opening a rear window. Use the side
windows and/or top vent in conjunction. If air is moving through
the bed it will keep CO from collecting.
This presupposes a working exhaust system. Exhaust leaks in the
wrong place can poison the cab, not to mention the bed.
