Hi, I have a 97 dakota SLT, V8 with the 3.92 (or whatever the highest gear
ratio is), automatic. My mileage has improved. I have about 450 miles on it.
I started at about 10 or 11 MPG and now average around 13.8 in town. I dont
get much better on the highway, around 14 sometimes 15, but I am usually
towing a camper and the bed has 3 dirt bikes in it...I love this truck!!!
I was dissappointed in the mpg, and I still have some faint hope it will
improve beyond what the sticker said, but I am not holding my breath.
Incidently, I always run the high octane gas, either Chevron or Texaco,
average price here in WA is $1.599 per gallon.
