Isn't the Auburn diff a clutch-type limited-slip?
Similar to stock "Sure-Grip" in other words...
[Parenthetically, the original Chrysler Sure-Grip had a friction cone setup
that is by all accounts far more reliable and consistent than the clutch
pack setup of most limited slips -- and current production Chrysler/Dana units.]
