I have driven mine from Austin TX, to New Mexico a couple of times,
13 hours and 16 hours, each way. The Dak is very comfortable on long
trips, The Club Cab makes a big difference too. I used to drive that
same trip in a Dodge (Mitsubishi) Ram/50 and it was a bitch. The
seat sucked and it rode rough. Same thing with a Honda Civic.
Smooth ride, crappy seats, kills your back. Of course it would'nt be
too comfortable for anyone in the back for very long.
I am wanting to take my truck to Seattle some time maybe next year,
should be fun.

Part of the point is the road trip (the adventure). If I have the
time, I much prefer to drive. And its even better with a partner. I
have driven thousands of miles over the years with friends, and in
recent years my wife, on trips where there was no destination. We
simply did it for the experience, and some of those experiences we
will remember allways. I don't know much about the middle or eastern
part of the country, but I have driven extensivly throughout the
Southwest and one thing is for sure, Its beutiful country.
