FIPK stands for filter pack and really it is nothing but a 14" aircleaner
with a K&N filter to replace the stock aircleaner unit.

There are advantages and disadvantages for both.

Advantages
1. About 5-10 more ponies. Gives a seat in the pants feel.
2. Filter does not have to be cleaned for about 50k miles
3. Pretty- the chrome gives a nice look. Sets off the V8 real nice.

Disadvantages
1. Takes in the hot underhood air. Hp goes down the hotter it gets.
Offset's hp gain-fix, some sort of ram-air set up. Hood scoop. The
fresh air box.

2. This annoying little whistle when cold or part throttle sometimes.-
Get used to it.

3. Gives some grief when getting the car inspected in some states. The
real K&N filterpack comes with a CARB exept sticker. The phonies, you
have to do some quick talking or swap back and forth.

I'm sure I missed a few of both, but you get the idea. It's just what you
want to try. Hope this helped.
