V8 oil leak

Ok guys, here is a new one.

My 1996 V8 Dakota has 25,000 miles on it and when I pulled it out of the
garage yesterday, I found 2 drops of (clean) oil on the garage floor.

Upon further investigation (crawling under the truck), I find the
inspection plate and transmission covered with some oil and dirt.

I can't tell if it is a rear main seal, but I can kindof see the back of
the beerbarrel intake has some oil (and dirt) around the oil pressure
sending unit and distributor.

Does anyone have any experience in an oil leak around this location of your
V8? I plan on making an appointment Monday, but I want to make sure they
look in the right location. It seems as though the rear of the intake is
leaking, but it dirty and hard to pinpoint.

It can't be that fast oil leak, due to the fact that the dirt looks like
it's been there a while and this is the first "drip" I have received on the
floor. But the cleanness of the oil makes me think it's getting faster.

Let me know of your experiences. Hope it isn't that bad:-(

Good news guys, my oil leak was coming from the oil pressure sending unit.
They swapped it out, and cleaned it off and so far, it looks good.

While they were there, they found an antifreeze leak at the gooseneck
(thermostat housing.) For some reason, the gasket was leaking and spilling
antifreeze on top of the engine.

Good thing for warranty!
