>Well I was all set to get a new 98 Dak with the SLT+ package and all
>the bells & whistles. V8 and 2 wheel drive. All for the low price of
>$19,400. Then I went to my insurance company... I have 1 measly
>little speeding ticket (67 in a 55) and they look at me and laughed!
>It would be $257 a MONTH on top of a $400 per month payment.
>So I am looking at a 94 V6 auto, only $14,300 with a $150 monthly
>insurance bill. Any thoughts on that?

I dont know what state (or province) you're in but I'll bet you'e under 30
years old!
I'm not in the insurance industry but I know that if you're not a complete
menace on the road the biggest thing working for or against you is your age
( and your sex). I'm 31 and I pay about $800.00 US for full coverage $250
deductible ( in Ca.) on a 97 4X4 truck. When I was 25 I paid more for less
coverage on an 89 2 wd Nissan worth less than half of what my Dak is.
