I had the same scratches in my 97 CC Dakota which is Emerald Green. My
solution was to wax the truck with Blue Coral Autofom w/fomblin A .Then I only
use towels that have been run through a rinse cycle in the washer w/ liquid
fabric softener. I haven't seen a scratch since. From what I've heard it's the
roughness of the towels that causes the scratches. I know (not supposed to use
towels). The only problem I have now is it takes a few more towels to dry the
truck. It's a small price to pay.
