chains, backup lights

I got some 50watt backup lights from JCWhitney. I put one in and
couldn't tell any difference. There may be too much resistance in the
wiring for the higher wattage bulb.

One reason I've stuck with my LT215 tires is to keep chain clearance.
Wider tires would be for summertime only.

Cable chains suck, that's why they are so much cheaper. They do allow
more clearance if you are tight, but they only offer half the traction
and they don't hold up as well. JCWhitney has good chains with welded
cross pieces for extra traction at a fair price.
