Nick,
I have a Tonneau cover on my '97. It is the one with the clamped rails and
snaps. It's been on my Dakota for 20,000 miles in all kinds of weather
and driven at speeds in excess of 100 MPH. Never had a problem with it.
I have never popped a snap. It has 3 cross bars (braces) and the end bar
at the tailgate. I can get the manufactures name from the tag on it if you
need it.
