Or four-wheel drive. In some conditions, the CHP will ask if you have
chains, even if you have 4WD. And when it's REALLY icy, they will demand
that you put them on, even with 4WD. They've got more snotty about this
as more urban warriors got SUVs, but have no clue what to do with snow.
