Just signed on to this list today.
I own a '93 Dakota 4x4 extended cab with Magnum V-8. Good running
machine, however I feel I must comment on the 150mph statements which
I have been reading. I came out of a downhill in South Texas at
(speedometer registered) 110 mph. Although I had plenty of rev's left
in the motor, the horses just were not available to bring this
aerodynamic brick up to such speeds. A stock Dakota, regardless of
engine, doing 150mph. I hardly think so.
Now, for the techie stuff. I wish to put a set of headers and
performance exhaust on my truck. Any suggestions as for brand and
price which would give me some extra HP and MPG would be much
appreciated. Additionally, I am looking to get some extra ponies
from an upgraded ignition. Any suggestions as for suppliers?
