In my 97, I might be able to go 70 miles after the warning light if I
babied it. After your 3.90, your mileage will decrease a little - more if
you drive the same speed on the highway I would think.

Subject: DML: Low Fuel Warning Question

My 98 Dakota with 22 gallon option has a low fuel indicator. The
manual says it goes off with 2-3 gallons in the tank. After mine goes
off and I fill up, it only takes about 17 gallons. I get about 14.5
mpg. Can I still drive 70 miles?? Shouldnt I be able to go 300 miles
safely? Last off is 14.5 mpg normal for a 318 3.55? Whats going to
happen when I put in my 3.90 SG?? Thanks in advance, Joe
