   I don't know anything about the Edelbrock line, but I believe you are
right. However, if Edgar is open to using a brand other than Edelbrock,
there are other 14" air cleaners which will fit without any adaptors. (And
there may even be some Edelbrocks, I dunno. I'm using a 3" K&N element
with a 14" Mr. Gasket can on my '96. The important thing is to get a can
that has a "non-recessed" base.
