Are you guys sure you aren't confusing trade-in value with Blue Book resale
value? The full resale value (what most people refer to as "Blue Book") is
what
you could expect to get if you sold the vehicle yourself. The dealer is not
going to offer that much as trade-in since they have to make a profit on the
deal when they re-sell it. I haven't checked so I don't know if that's what
your figures reflect or not, but it's a common mistake that a lot of people
make when looking to trade a vehicle.
