When i was kicking the Dakota club idea around a few weeks ago, i
thought about making flyers that you could put on pepoles windshields.
You know, see a nice Dakota or Ram in a parking lot, grab a flyer and
slap it under their wiper blade. You could have your phone, email, and
whatever else on it. Tell me what you would want to print on it and I
can probably do a pretty good one for you. I could send you one and you
could make copies. We could also send out a handful to all of the Texas
members to hand out in their parts of the state. I think this could
work pretty good. Just have some extras in your glove box and when you
happen to see a nice truck, reach over and grab one and stick it on...
Another thing, would be a web page for the Texas (V)opar Nuts, or
whatever we call ourselves. This web page could be put on the flyer as
well. I can also insert it into the Dakota webring, and you might see
about posting something to the Ram list also.
Oh yeah, on the AOL chat thing. Have you ever looked at
http://www.chat.yahoo.com ? this is a web based chat that anyone with a
web browser can join in on. If you have a Java based browser you can
chat in real time without even reloading the page, you don't even have
to download any plugins. It works very well, and if we had the chat on
this, we would be able to include more people, and not be restricted to
just AOL members. It's also easy to set up your onwn private room on
it.
Some ideas to get us started.
