I really don't know for sure what the possible outcome of this would be.
That is a huge argument down here in Louisiana. All of my friends think I'm
nutz when I throw it in 4Hi on the highway when its raining. They seem to
think
that the only time 4x is allowed is when your in the mud... I just moved
back here
from living a year in Minnesota and I can tell you one thing... You wont
find a single
4xer up there that doesn't use 4x all the time during the winter. The only
time that I
didn't use it was when I wanted to have some fun doing 360s in a parking
lot on ice. :)
As far as dragracing in 4x I honesty don't see a problem... After all one
of the most
compedative racecars money can by is a Quatro 4x4. Some of them are full
time and
some are not. Basicly I see it this way.. If you race... I mean RACE...
Fixing broken parts
that wear out from abuse or fatigue(however you look at it) is part of
playing the game.
Look at it this way.. when your on your death bed are you going to lay
there and say "Oh GOD,
I wish I had put it in 4x, maybe I would not have lost that race... If only
I had more traction" or will
it be "Ya know.. winning that race in 4x really made me feel good...Ya
know.. it was worth it even
though after ALL those races I had to replace my transfercase. I had fun!"
I guess that ultimatley we humans love to play... Some of us spend the
extra money to get a tougher
rougher toy than the one before and you know.... You only live once.. why
not have fun using what you
have in stead of wishing you had when its too late. ;^)
