keyless entry

On my Dak I have a CodeAlarm which has the capability to lock and unlock
the power doorlocks when the system is armed and disarmed. However when
it was installed this was an option and wasn't wired up. I've looked at
the unit under the dash and it has terminals for lock and unlock. How
would I go about wiring this up? It would seem pretty straight forward,
just tap into the right wires. Is this generally how keyless entry
systems work? Or would I need more stuff like relays or something? I
would get an alarm dealer to do this but I can't find any locally that
deal in CodeAlarms. I'm kinda getting tired of barking the alarm and
then using the key to get in...
