Sorry, but I refuse to by crap regardless of where it is made. Features
rule, and if American manufactures have a comparible product at a
competative price, I'll buy it. If they don't (and though they have made
some significant gains there are still areas they are sorely deficient),
then I'll buy something else rather than "take what the big 3 give me
and like it".
As to US content, I doubt the guys working for Toyota, Honda and Mazda
in the US assembly plants are complaining about cashing their pay
checks, or saying "gee, I wish I was working for Chrysler". Good jobs
are good jobs, regardless of who the boss is...
