All (or almost all) newer cars have this problem. Apparently it=27s =
related to the newer low rolling resistance tires they=27re using. =
Because of the way the tires are made, they don=27t dissipate static to =
the ground as well as the older ones. Apparently the only solutions are =
static straps or holding on to the door as you get out, like you mentioned.=

Does any body else have this problem? My =2798 Dak w/ cloth interior =
shocks
me everytime I get out, unless it=27s raining or snowing. I thought about
static straps, even though I don=27t like the looks of them, but realized
recently it=27s being caused by me sliding off the seat. I then touch the
door and ZAP. I don=27t think the static straps will help with this. Any
ideas? Right now I grab the door as I=27m getting out so I don=27t get =
zapped
but it=27s a pain.
