I don't take the face plate off of my Alpine, cuz' I know I'll lose it! Even the
DIN sized ones are a pain to lug around in my pocket! I got an Alarm, so
my Dak is less likely to get broken into. It doesn't matter, where I live, if
they want your stereo, they'll get your stereo... even if they have to take
the whole Dak, with me still in it!!!!!

One major selling feature is that the large faceplate fits the Dak dash
properly without need for an adaptor. Also the larger face is more
readable and shows more information.
The radio comes with a carry case for the faceplate which is about 1
inch
taller than the din size radios. I probably wouldnt carry the faceplate
anyway, just hide it in the truck somewhere. The radio looks unusable
and i think that is the idea anyway.
