Coil, wires, etc...

I'm looking into upgrading some of my electrical stuff, and
I'm having a little trouble figuring out what exactly I need
to get. Here's the list of stuff I'm pretty much set on (though
I'd be interested to hear any comments, (good or bad) about them):

   Accel brass cap and rotor
   Champion Gold spark plugs
   MSD Super Conductor 8.5mm wires

The thing I'm having the main problem with is the coil. Originally,
I was planning on getting an MSD Blaster 3 coil. However, I was looking
through the Summit catalog today, and it said that the Blaster 3 was
only for MSD ignitions. However, I don't see anything to that effect in
the MSD catalog. In fact, the MSD catalog seems to imply that the Blaster
3 will work with MSD ignitions or most modern stock ignitions.

Wether I get the Blaster 3 or the Blaster 2, I still need to figure
out how to hook 'em up. The Blaster 3 seems to have a built in
tower, and I would guess that you just unplug the stock coil, and
plug the wire into the top of the Blaster 3? If so, then I
have to ask, if the stock plug wires aren't so great, then what
about the stock coil wire? Wouldn't it make sense to get a
better wire here too? MSD does have a coil wire in the back of
the catalog, but it is listed as being for the Blaster 2. Also,
it is only 18" long, and the wire needs to be a lot longer
than that; the coil is up near the right fender, all the way
to the front of the truck, and the wire goes behind and around
the engine. You'd need 5 or 6 feet, I think.

Speaking of the Blaster 2, how does it hook up? It is shown
as coming with a tower and a boot. Do you have to crimp this
boot onto a wire or something?

If anyone can shed some light on any of this, that'd be great! :-)

Thanks very much in advance!!
