  Yep, lots of turbocharged "rice burners" use nitrous for this purpose.
Of course, it increases performance too, not only from the intercooling
effect but also from the other "usual" nitrous performance increases.
   I suspect that you might be looking to upgrade some internal engine
components if you combine the two though... (forged heads, pistons, and rods?
Maybe the crank too, I dunno...))
