Did you get them from Crutchfield or somewhere else. Crutchfield was
hesitant to send me a 5x7 to try. I am not sure why.

You can run Pioneer 5x7" speakers, and they are a direct replacement:
2 way or 3 way... Not a BIG improvement, but do sound much cleaner
than OEM. A 6x9" could be put in, but would involve cutting that I didn't
feel like digging into.
