Synthetic Oil Color Was: J.E.T. computer enhancement

  I have seen a couple of people mention this in the past. I used
Mobil 1 dino oil up until about 10,000 miles, then Mobil 1 synthetic since
then (I'm at about 49,000 miles now) I change my oil and filter every 3,000
but my oil has never come out golden brown, its always black. I used
Mobil 1 synthetic in my VR-4, and it always came out black too. Is it
supposed to come out "clean"? What gives?
