Actually, one would be more prone to detonation and blown head gaskets if they
use the crummy air induction system that most SC kits come with.
An Air/Water aftercooler would help for dragstrip use. I plan on designing one
soon. A Friend of mine's 93 Mustang GT had one, and before the cooler he had
tons of detonation problems, along with blown head gaskets... after the
cooler, he could run the boost retard on 0 and got no hint of detonation.. on
regular old pump 93 octane.
