I've just called two Jeep dealerships - neither had a part listing for
this fan. One dealership is sending a fax to Chrysler to find out
about it and will contact me with info.

Tell them that they need to get to a Jeep dealer and check out a GC
5.9L
Limited (soon, as it was rare and there aren't many left), which is
the
only 5.9L factory setup with an electric fan. I think that fan would
fit
on
the Dak, and since the wiring is all external to the PCM, so would
the
relay wiring harness, thermostatic switches (which are mounted in the
upper
and lower radiator hoses via nifty T-fittings), etc. The GC 5.9
Limited
setup is documented by Jeep as saving 20 HP over the mechanical fan!
This
is perhaps the main reason that 4WD GC 5.9 Limiteds run equal times
when
compared to 2WD Dakota 5.9 R/T Club Cabs (they both weigh about the
same).
