Joe:

After all this chat about AC (and record temperatures here 35+) I decided
to read my owner's and
shop manuals about AC. It seems that it is most effective to use MAX AC on
startup (leave window open to exhaust the hot air for a bit) until the cab
has cooled down. This recycles the interior air and does
not introduce fresh (read hot and moist) air which is harder to cool.

I tried this....it works! Much faster cool down.

Once the cab has cooled, your can use the other AC setting and adjust the
temperature to suit. The manual also says that under more extreme
conditions (hot with high relative humidity) it may be necessary to use MAX
AC setting continuously.

Re pressurized cab .... every vehicle I have owned (even without AC) will
pressurize the cab on higher fan settings. Leave your window open a crack
to solve this problem.

Cheers
