Well, the location of the control wires for the 4th gear and TC lockout
solenoid is certainly convenient. On 98s, the connector is:
PCM (Powertrain Control Module), Connector C2 (White)
Pin #11 = TC Lockup solenoid
Pin #21 = 4th gear solenoid
I haven't removed the connector yet to determine the ease or difficulty of
removing the two pins in question. Probably this weekend. If anyone tries
this before I do, remember to either disconnect the battery or PCM Connector
C1 (Which is where power is fed to the PCM)
