Joel, when a hydraulic clutch actuating component isn't acting properly,
the result is a clutch pedal that is very loose before you start to
engage the pressure plate. You may be able to move the pedal 6" before
you feel it start to grab-this is due to a leak or air in the lines or
both. View it just like a brake system, works exactly the same way.
The only way that you could get it to grab lower is to
-move the slave cylinder further away from the clutch fork
-decrease the finger height of the pressure plate
-cut your foot off right above the ankle
I dont recommend any of the above procedures though!
