I just purchased my '94 Dakota from a dealership. Just a week after
driving it home, I had the same problem. They replaced a small, black
electronic part marked "SF8956001077." Inside the part, there were
several coils, what appeared to be some sort of relay or breaker, and a
~270uH inductor. There are six connectors the same size and shape as an
AC plug's connectors, but in line, rather than parallel. Four across
the top, two centered beneath them. The black plastic case is 3/4" by
1" by 2".
