I have the V6 and I have excessive valve noise as well. I find it's more
profound when you use thicker oil...such as 10-40 as opposed to 10-30. It also
seems to do it more when the truck is hot. I don't know what casuses it, but
i've learned to live with it seeing that the power hasn't decreased at all.
