Its always tough to diagnose a problem without getting our hands all
over it but here is some suggestions.

1. Check the timing
2. Uh, the timing is off
3. Hmm, timing needs to be set

long shots
1. firing order is wrong
2. cap & rotor needs to be replaced
3. Timing chain/belt is off a tooth
4. vacuum leak

A friend at work (husband & wife) who isn't on the net has ask me to ask

folks if you know what their problem is with their truck? Listed below

their words on the problem.

MAYBE YOU CAN HELP ME FIND OUT WHATS WRONG WITH Our DAKOTA?

AT LOW (IT SEEMS) RPM IT HAS A HESITATION AND IS BACKFIRING.
WE ARE NOT GETTING GOOD FUEL MILEAGE AT ALL.
WE HAVE CHANGED THE COIL, AND THE EGR SYSTEM (IT WAS MELTED-Reason
unknown)
NOTHING HAS WORKED SO FAR.

ITS A 1992 AUTOMATIC, MAGNUM V8 5.2LITRE
