To date I've installed the underdrive pulleys, Jet II w/ 180 thermo and K&N
FIPK, all of which have seemingly improved the around-town drivablility and
performance. I've ordered the test pipe, the distributor cap with brass
contacts, and am thinking about the GEN II Throttle Body from Magnum
Performance, possibly with the Mystery Shaft setup. I need input from those of
you familiar with the GEN II TB and/or mystery shaft. Is there $400 worth of
"bang for the buck" or would my money be better spent on some other
combination? The ad claims UP TO 20+ hp and 30 lb-ft of torque, we all know
what I think about performance claims, so I am hoping some of you have had or
know someone who has had experience with this.
BTW, the best part of the K&N is the sound the engine makes at WOT, it sends
me back to 1970 and the Carter and Rochester 4 bbl carbs of yore, gosh what a
rush!
I may not be going any faster, but it sure sounds like I am <g>.
