It can be done, mine did the same thing (6 x 9 Power units). At anything over
65, my drivers mirror would fold into the truck.

It a real B**ch to do! At least on my 92 it was.

You have to remove the door panel, then remove the mirror assembly, then
disassemble it, and then tighten the screw that holds the mirror support.
Then put it all back together. When ya do it it is hard to tell how tight it
should be, I removed mine twice to try to get it right. I ended up leaving it
way to tight, but I ain't takin it apart again.
