Gary,
I had a 97 Dakota V6 5spd 3.21 gears and it would run
great. The problem though IS with the gears. Off line
it was pretty slow, unless you reved the RPM's to about
3 grand.
If milage isn't to important, you may want to get a 3.55
or 3.92 rearend.
