They were supposed to start at the end of Aug...initially, they will
reprogram *your* ECM, later, they will have a hand held programmer
similar to the unit they currently have for GM vehicles.
OBDII is fast becoming a huge market and they know this.

I'm somewhat familiar with the CARB regulations but was not
aware of any encryption requirements. I know tuners are working
on '99's with no problems...interesting info.

Your probably right...but I wonder how CARB handles a situation
where an ECM goes bad and communications are lost. How would
the history data be transfered???

I'll let you know when/if SuperChips does anything.
