I took my truck in Friday for some work. I've got the clunk in the
steering wheel and had oil on my starter and dripping down the back of
the engine. I figured it was either a rear main or the intake...it's
the intake. They're going to fix it tomorrow. I also mentioned the
erratic PART throttle shifting. They want to take it out. Now, I am no
Mopar tranny expert, but I don't believe the shifting problem warrants
removal. Have some dumbass take out the tranny and screw it up sounds
more likely. The glove compartment sticker says it's a 46E tranny.
I've seen a lot of you say that is a computer controlled tranny. I've
also heard people say to adjust the tv cable. I looked on the throttle
body and see what appears to be a tv cable, but didn't see any real
adjustment at the tb. Does it get adjusted at the tranny? If so what
is the correct adjustment, or what has anyone done. I've still got
10,000 miles of warranty left, so I think I will wait and not let them
take it out. I also have a buddy at work who has a friend at the
Chrysler training center here in Memphis and may see if I can take it to
them and let them check it out.
Thanks,
