"Has anyone figured out how to get an accurate measurement of the
hood to aircleaner distance? I can't figure out how to get in the engine
compartment with the hood down to get the measuring tape in there."
Take some clay and make it into a ball, then form it more into a tube
that you can stand on end on top of the air cleaner-make the tube maybe
6" tall. Shut the hood, then open it up again and see if the clay has
been smashed down at all. If it has, measure its height and you've
found your clearance. If it hasn't been touched, roll it a little
taller, and try again until you can get the hood to touch it.
