Nope, the LS1 was "new" in the C5 Vette (this years model). Its actually
348cid instead of 350, and has a bunch of other changes. Prev. to that
they had a "bunch" of LT engines, the last one being the LT4 (not to be
confused with the LT5, which was the 400+hp Mercury built motor used in
the ZR1 Vette).
