There's no guarantee that you'll find exclusively metric or SAE components
on any US-marque vehicle built since the late 70s. My '84 S-10 had metric
and SAE fasteners on the 2.8L V-6, and it was a real bitch.
You should simply get the bushing, SAE or metric, that is closest to your
measurement. Mine was 28mm or something on that order; it was closer than
the 1 1/8".
