In an earlier thread someone was talking about the
effect the Dakota has on people, especially the
competition. It never ceases to amaze me when your
setting at the stoplight, someone two or three
vehicles away will be so aware of your machine
they acknowledge it in some form or fashion...
I was headed home one evening on the freeway when
this nice looking black Z28 cuts in front of me,
looked to be a mid 90's model. Well,the guy just
didn't like the idea of my truck being so close so
he nails it going around heavy traffic weaving in
and out. A couple of minutes later here we are again
and my lane is going faster than his so I back off
to let him in. He floors it again pulling two lanes
over to pass several cars on the right then pull
back into my lane.
Finally the freeway splits and the traffic goes
one way and WE go the other. I floor it and in seconds
I'm on his bumper and he nails it as well, folks I go
around him like he's driving a Volkswagon. I'm 4 lengths
ahead of him and pulling away when I called it quits.
I'm thinking somethings wrong with this guys engine
or he's driving a V6 look-a-like Z28. All he could do
was smile (nut) when I went around him. He must of been
some kinda of intimidated or he was afraid of what was
about to happen. I tried to be nice but No...like Louie
the lizard "dat camero wuz gonna pay".
