BWAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! I guess the acceleration would be great if the motor
wasn't busy scattering!!!!!

For anyone just catching this thread and continuing on the traction issue:

No gear change - the drag radials were just taller tires. As expected,
acceleration was WORSE, not better. The thing to remember with tire spin
and drag racing acceleration and expressway (high speed) acceleration is
that the characteristics of a particular gear/tire combo are gonna be the
same across the board. Lower gears/shorter tires = harder acceleration and
more spin under poor traction conditions. Higher gears/taller tires =
slower acceleration and less spin under poor traction conditions.

The bottom end was nice because I could launch hard with no spin. Now as
far as highway cruising goes, the taller tire (28") was beautiful - engine
turned around 3300-3400 when it hit the 115 mph limiter if I remember
correctly. Barely over 2000 rpm at 75 mph! Won't get that with the 3.92s
I'm getting, but I fully expect that with the gears and a SG I'll be in the
14 second club.

Tate, hows acceleration on the eway with that gear, it must
be like a bat out
                of hell!
