That was an older Lighning. They were made in 95 and a few other years
around then. They were pretty good actually, they had GT-40 heads and
intake and I think most ran 4.10 gears. They have the same tires as a
SS/T stock, infact I think Goodyear made that size just for the Lightning
(275-60 R17) Anyways, they were rated at 225 hp stock, but they were
actually pretty fast. Most of them were low 16s/high15's stock, but the
lightly modified ones at the track usually run from 15.5 to 15.2 or so.
They have a way better aftermarket then our trucks, and it is not uncommon
to see one in the 13's. There is supposed to be a 99 1/2 Lighning, that
will be supercharged. Look out, they are advertising 325 hp. We will
see.
