To each his or her own huh? Personally I like the little bit of chrome I
have on my SLT+. The gray plastic does look cheap though however I had a
good thing happen though, my wife got backed into a week after i got my
truck....it jacked up the front fascia.....so I get my customization done
for free...:-) The price on the fascia for the Sport is not too bad though,
$280 plus $65 to paint it to match.

Ugh! My SLT+ is getting dissed! I happen to like the look of the Dak in
Chrome trim! IMO the sport packages make the truck look "plastic" like and
too Euroesque, and the cheesy decals look... cheesy (Ha! take them apples!
Phhhbbbt! ^u^). I will admit, I HATE the generic "gray" bumper inserts all
the SLT's get. I'm going to order a set of paintable inserts and chin skirt
from the Sport Package and have them painted to match my beautiful Black
Dak.
Ugh, I still can't believe it, my Dak gets dissed by women, including a
Canadian one at that... That does it, call out the 101st, it's time to
invade.
We obviously have to correct some fiesty attitudes up there! Teach you
guys
to pick on my chrome... (Harumph)(sulk)

I agree with Jodi. Jason and I both dislike chrome on our vehicles. His
'95 looks great with just white and the black bumpers. My '98 looks great
all black and the dark windows. Also of course, we do get ours dirty (mud)
quite a bit, so who wants to polish chrome? Not I! Chrome does look good
on the SLT, but just wouldn't suit our lifestyle. I still think it's
personal preference and what you use your vehicle for.

A friend of mine had an SLT a few years ago and complained to no end that he
was getting rust spots were appearing all over his chrome. I'm no expert,
but it was relatively new and only went through one winter. I told him to
take it back to the dealer. I never did find out what happened to his truck
as I moved back to Toronto.
