well... maybe timing... but even with a 3.23 gear OD you are going to have
to be in at near or full timing advance even at cruise/rpm points as
generally less than ideal total timing isn't good on main bearing due to
reduce piston pressure/load... seals can suffer...
here in tx... oil field work calls for hot-shots and many tried in the 80's
to run tall gears for low rpm/fuel consumption of gas guzzeling torque
engines... and results: knocked out mains....
