Yep, thanks Gary. I pulled over as soon as I noticed the MIL and
checked/redid the cap... A-OK. I was poking around later and noticed a
small tube (taped to a larger tube) heading to the evap. can that was
disconnected... This was under the truck, tucked in by the drivers side
frame rail and about half way between the engine and the fuel tank. I
plugged her back in and ran the truck for awhile but the MIL is still
going. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

First things first... check your gas cap.... on OBD II vehicles, the MIL
lite will be illuminated for "gross air leak detected" or something to that
effect if your gas cap is left off or is loose!
