Yes, I looked at the crash photos. Since this is the *Insurance* Institute
for Highway Safety, I really have to wonder just how independent and
unbiased these people really are. What about several months ago when
everyone was whining that our trucks should just be outlawed because they
caused too much damage to tiny little shoebox cars when the drivers of said
shoebox cars crash into us. I suppose by that logic we should outlaw buses,
cube vans, transports, and trains, because they're even worse. No, I like
my solution better. If you're worried about your micro car getting wrecked,
I say drive something made of steel instead of plastic.

I think someone's comment to me was along the lines of "you don't *need*
(hugely whiny voice) to drive a truck." To which I replied, "Oh, REALLY?
You don't *need* a computer, TV, VCR, or any of that jewlery you're wearing,
so why don't you just give it all to me?"

Personally, I think the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is trying to
build a case to get pickups off the road unless you have a professional
license for one, so they don't have to pay out as much money for damage
whenever some idiot in a tin can gets himself wedged under a pickup.

Okay, I'll step off the soapbox now. Next?
