Thanks for throwing a monkey wrench into my vision of 3.92's Eric ; ) You
do have a point there. It's my understanding that the magnums are meant for
a lower range power band than most other motors. Did you experience
traction problems? Have to shift an extra time with a 5 spd? Any other
explanation?

Anybody interested in gear changes could find out real quick what various
gears felt like if you had markedly different diameter tires (same type and
width) to swap out at the track. Just thinkin. That's what we need - A BFG
truck at the track where you could rent various sized tires for $10 or $15
for two or three runs to see how it feels. Hey - am I crazy, or is that a
good idea?

If you want the old Dak to run CHANGE THE FRIGGIN GEARS.. I bout my
Dak with 3.55 and dumped a ton of cash in it and had it running
13.teens religiously. Well, I got a tip to change the gearing to
3.92
and it would vastly inprove my times.. si I did and I went from
13.19
to 13.60.. Needless to say, I now have my 3.55 back in it.. The
Magnums don't like the gearing as much as the non-magnums.
