Here's a post from the MML which may interest some of you. I've been
looking at the dodgeboys homepage daily since they fired Eicke.
Supposedly the announcement was supposed to be made Monday, Nov. 2 but it
wasn't on the webpage. I don't know if this is legit or not.

For all you NHRA fans, Chrysler's Lou Patane announced yesterday "an
intense commitment to put our race teams and fans to put Mopar back on
top
of the NHRA Pro Stock class, where it belongs" by naming David Nickens
(current engine builder/owner of a Team Mopar PS Dakota) as owner, tuner,
and engine builder of Alderman's and Geoffrion's PS Avengers in 1999.
Others brought onto the PS team are co-crew chief Mike Sullivan (former
co-owner of Wayne County Speed Shop--3 Mopar NHRA PS World Championships
and 40 event wins), Jerry Bickel will be a chassis consultant, and
longtime
NHRA veteran Buddy Ingersoll will serve as a consultant. In addition,
Larry Nance and Larry Morgan (former Chevy PS pilot) will drive Mopar
associate sponsored Avengers in 1999. Ingersoll will also serve as Larry
Nance's crew chief. Morgan will act as his own crew chief and will serve
as an engine development consultant for Team Mopar.

Mopar will also continue to provide factory support for two PS Dakota
teams
as well as associate sponsorship for an additional seven PST
teams/drivers.
Team Mopar will also continue their sponsorship of Darrell Gwynn/Mike
Dunn
in Top Fuel Dragster and will provide associate sponsorship of Dean Skuza
in Top Fuel Funny Car.

Sound like one heck of a line-up and a real commitment by Chrysler to put
Mopar back on top.
